Harmonia Holdings has an exciting opportunity for an Applications Programmer (React/Java) to join our rapidly growing team supporting a federal government client.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Devising and modifying applications programs and procedures from detailed specifications to solve complex problems. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs.
  • Ability to deliver competent O&M and system enhancement support by executing all phases of applications programming activities.

Prior experience with the below technologies will help you excel in this role.
  • Required:
    • React/SPA
    • Nodejs
    • Java
    • SQL - Oracle, PostgreSQL
    • Unit Testing JavaScript and Java
    • AWS serverless framework (API Gateway, ALB, Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Kinesis, S3, DMS)
  • Preferred:
    • Angular
    • DevOps:
      • Jenkins/Cloudbees - Groovy Jenkins file development
      • Certificate management
      • Jira issue management
      • Git source code management

Other beneficial skills/knowledge areas:
  • Encryption
  • Authentication mechanisms: OAuth, SAML, AWS Cognito, Kerberos

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or at least 4+ years experience in related field in lieu of degree.
  • To be considered at an Intermediate level, you must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience as an Applications Programmer.
  • To be considered at a Senior level, you must have 7+ years of experience as an Applications Programmer.
  • To be considered at an Architect level, you must have 10+ years of experience as an Applications Programmer.
  • Salary will be based on years of experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Detailed documentation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications.
  • Strong customer service/client facing skills.

Work is primarily performed remotely using video conferencing, email, and phone. Occasional travel to customer offices or Harmonia locations may be necessary from time to time.
